In a chat room with a/v module enabled, there is a web cam icon in the top menu.  
(See the 1st mark in the picture 1 above)

 

Move the mouse over the icon, and a tool tip will appear saying "Publish my video"

How to configure the Video window?

Drag the window to the size you want.

  The blue bar at the right side of the video is the volume bar, which shows the volume of microphone and speaker.
  Configure the volume in this way:
  Right click on the video window-> setting-> microphone
 

How to view other user’s Audio/Video?

 

You can see the web cam icon following the user's name in the user list if he/she already published his audio/video.

  (See the 2nd mark in the picture 1)
  Click that icon to see this person.
  After you've published your video, other users will see a web cam icon followed by your username.
 

How to publish video in private chat?

 

If you would rather publish your video to some specific user instead of the whole chat lobby, then you need to activate a private chat window and double click the specified username first.

  The web cam icon with the tool tip showing "Publish my video" will appear in the menu above the input area.

In this way all users other than the specific receiver won't be able to view your video.

  If the receiver wants to show his/her video to you, he/she will need to click the same button to publish his/her video
 

How to stand by my video?

 

Click the video icon in the video window to standby your vide.

General Questions
How to Send Public or Private Messages?
 

Users are able to open a private window to chat with another person in the same channel for a one-on-one chat. This private chat is also monitored and recorded in message log. A user list is displayed at the right side of the chat page.

Click on any username, the background color of the chosen username will change and a mini menu popup with "private" button on it will appear.
Click the "private" button, a private window is activated between you and the recipient.
If you choose a username but no such "private" option appears, probably you've chosen
your own ID!

You can also double click a username to activate a private window.

Click the "minimize" button at the top menu of private window to shrink it to a single bar, or

Click the "maximize" button to extend it to its original size.

Click the top bar of private window to activate different private chat window.

Click the top bar of private window and drag to move it around.

Click the right-top "close" button to close this private chat window.

Even if the user you're chatting with in private leaves the current room to enter another room, you can still continue the private chat as long as he/she doesn’t log out of the website.

When he/she logs out i.e., gets offline, you'll be notified that he/she has logged out and so you won’t be able to send any further messages to him/her. However, the private window will remain on the page and you can still read the conversation you’ve already had.

In case a user does not want to receive any private messages, he/she can change the settings in the option panel to refuse to accept private window messages.

   
 
How to IGNORE or Block visitors?
 

If there is any repulsive chatter in the room, you can simply select his/her username in the user-list and click "Ignore" from the popup menu.

From then onwards, every message the chatter posts to you, whether private or public, will not appear on the screen.

In case you change your mind, you can re-select this user and "Cancel ignore" to give him/her a second chance to talk to you.

If you continue to post messages to someone but do not get a response, you probably have been ignored by him/her meaning you better watch out for your behavior / words.

 
How to change Avatar?
 

There is a toolbar above the input area with many options. And the first icon is a default avatar image.

You can select an avatar to express your feeling or your style by clicking on the icon and choosing from the nail-up panel. One avatar for one message, you can't have over 2 avatars once.

The avatar you chose will appear in 3 places: before your words both in public and in private, and before your name in user list.

How to change Font – Bold, Italic, Underline, Size and color?

   
 

Bold Font

The "B" icon represents bold text.

Click on the icon “B” to make the text bold in the window.

Click it again to restore it to normal text.


   
 
 


Italic Font

The "I" icon represents italic text.
Click on the icon “I” to change the text font to italics in the window.
Click it again to change it back to normal text.
   
 
   
 

Underline

The "U" icon represents underline text.
Click on the icon “U” to underline the text in the window.
Click it again to change it back to normal text.


 
 

How to change the font color and back ground of my chat window?

 

Font Color

The color block beside "U" icon is for selecting colors. Once a color is selected from the color-picker, the whole message will change to this color.

Sorry you can't have 2 or more colors in one message.



Font Size:

You don't have to choose any words in your message to change the font size, just click the number in the font size list box next to "U" icon and your message size will be changed. Click number to change the size of font as your wish.

Background Screen


You can change your background screen of your chatting window as per choice.

Click "change background" icon and you'll see variable backgrounds.

Many back ground screen options available to make u pleasant chat.

 

How to send smiley?

 

The smiley icon in the toolbar allows you to choose a different smiley for a different emotion. You can launch animated smiley panel by clicking this icon.

The smiley faces you've chosen will appear at the bottom side of your conversation window. You can select one line of smileys at the maximum.

 
 

How to send Flash Emotions?

 

The Flash emotion icon in the toolbar allows you to choose a different flash emotion. By clicking on the flash emotions you can send flash emotion into public & private chat.

How to save Pre-defined messages?

 


In the pre-defined message box, you can choose from the text matter which is already available. You can add/delete messages as per your wish by clicking “+ “or “– “options in the pre-defined message box

How to Enable/Disable receiving sound?

 


The administrator can enable/disable sounds in a room as per the default settings.  The user can change the settings by clicking on the top buttons.

In a chat room, if you want to be notified of any occurrence, like someone saying something, someone entering/leaving the room, etc. , just enable the "sound" button so that even if you leave the chat window, you will know what's going on in the room.

If you feel all the sounds are annoying, please click the speaker icon to disable sound. This is the mute mode.

Your setting only affects your own chat window. Once you log out, this setting restores to the default setting .

This "sound" button controls all the sound effects in a chat room.To enable/disable one specific sound, you can configure "option" panel instead


 
 

How to access and save your chat session history?

 


There are two methods to access conversation history panel.

You can click the "history" button to open conversation in history easily. Or you can check chat history in option panel: options->view.

By default you have 100kb space for chat log, but surely you can set it as more or less in the option panel, according to your hardware performance.

Once this 100kb is filled up with chat log, it will stop recording further messages. Thus, backup chat log periodically.

Once logged out, your chat log will be cleared. So if the conversation is very important to you, please remember to save it before you leave.


 

How to Enable/Disable Scrolling?

 


New messages come in from the bottom of the screen. As new messages come in, old messages will scroll up on the screen. At a given time, only a certain amount of lines can appear in your chat box, as the previous history will be automatically cleared to ensure the chatting speed.

When checking the details of some text, you may want to stick the chat window to one position and stop scrolling. Click "scroll" button and you can stay where you are.
Click it again; the screen will start scrolling all over again.
